I am just trying to survive in this world - sometimes feeling like a gypsy in the twilight zone...

So, how do we fall in love? And how do we know when he or she is “the one”? Sometimes, when you talk to people, you hear “well, I just knew”… How, I wonder? Is it just some magical feeling that you inherit; something you learn during your first 4 years of life; or is it simply a case of trial and error? But then how many “I wanted it to be my true love” people were there in your life for you to “just know” that this person is the right one? What does it exactly mean – “true love”?

I think it evolves all throughout our life, throughout our relationship… At the beginning it is mostly this burning feeling inside of you; desire that boils your blood and manifests itself in sleepless nights wishing for just one more kiss, one more touch, one more… Then slowly you get used to the feeling of his/her kisses on your skin; touch of beloved lips, familiar breathing at night… And somehow, very slowly, it turns from magic to routine… Or does it?..

Unfortunately, with time, in most of the cases that great feeling of “true love” little by little gets replaced by respect, companionship, dependency, friendship, admiration, reliance, habit, addiction, need… But in some rare case, miraculously you can save that burning feeling inside of you, that need to be touched and kissed, that need to look at special someone for hours – just enjoying your life together… And then, one morning you wake up next to him/her, look at their eyes, wait for the first movement of their eyelashes, just to say – “You are my true love. Now, after all these years – I love you even more than ever, with every day I cherish each moment spent with you , every breath you take, every kiss and every touch. You are my true love!” You wake up to these words and realize – you life is worth living, it sure is!
